New Nerdy Workshop started as an idea between Czar and Mahoney about building cool stuff in the garage. What started out as a fanciful idea of boasting about who could build better and cooler looking stuff quickly became a full on idea. As with any adventurous idea conceived by men married with kids this plan took a long time to unfold. Don't ask how long, that's just embarrassing.

It took some time, trial and error, but we finally figured out a format of hacking, making, and creating, that would work around our schedules and desires for presenting the material. There's a lot of room for this little hack group to evolve and we look forward to seeing what we can make.

From there it was a matter of defining what exactly the show is about. New Nerdy Workshop is about projects for the DIY hobbyist. It's for all ages and all walks of life. You don't need a degree in engineering to finishing these projects, because we don't either. That's right, no science degrees among anyone on this project, and I mean anyone. So there is a lot of error with every trial.

We developed this idea purely out of a desire to design, create, and have fun. We will build projects for individuals and projects for families. Simple and complex we'll show you how take what you have and truly make it your own. If you don't know how to take it apart then you don't really own it.
